Longitude Latitude

The prints from this collection collectively address the idea of a voyage by economic migrants, as they set sail and subsequently reach the shores of their supposed haven. They are hand printed with water based inks, on Eabrians 5 paper. There are also four framed prints available of each image. Some of the images below are from the first exhibition in a touring show curated by Prawat Laucharoen from New York. The theme chosen by the curator was ‘Globalisation'. Six international artists exchanged workshops with six local artists, 12 in all collectively making responses during a month long residences, both in Cork, and at the international locations. The residential project was part of the Cork cities celebration as European capital of culture for 2005.
